reviewmaster.dev / app-store

Not in the App Store. On purpose.

Review Master runs on the Claude or Codex already on your Mac. A Mac App Store app isn't allowed to touch either. So we ship it the way developer tools have always shipped: a signed download, from us to you.

01 / two-builds+4−4

Same app. Two ways to ship it.

What the store version would have to give up, and what the direct one keeps.

02 / your-cli+3−1

It runs your Claude. The sandbox has no "your".

Every Mac App Store app lives inside Apple's sandbox: a sealed box that cannot see the claude or codex you installed, the login you gave it, or the plan you pay for. Review Master's whole idea is that it reviews with your AI, under your account, at no AI cost from us. Put that in the box and there is nothing left to sell.

The box is the right default for a weather widget. It is the wrong one for a tool that sits between you and your own terminal.

03 / your-five-dollars+1−2

$5 stays $5.

A subscription sold inside a store app must be sold through Apple, and Apple keeps 15–30% of it. The same app, in the store, would have to cost you $6 or $7 for us to see the same $5. We would rather you kept the difference. You pay us, through Paddle, and cancel from inside the app in one click. No one is in the middle.

04 / same-day-updates+2−0

Fixed today. On your Mac today.

A new model lands on a Tuesday; a CLI changes a flag on a Thursday. We ship the fix the same day and the app installs it itself. A store build would sit in a review queue first. Your tools move fast. The thing reviewing your code should keep up.

05 / same-lock+3−0

Same lock on the door.

Not in the store is not the same as unchecked. Every build is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple: Apple scans it, Apple vouches for it, and macOS opens it without a warning. If a build were ever tampered with, your Mac would refuse it. Your GitHub token lives in the macOS keychain; your code goes to GitHub and to your own AI vendor, never to us. 06 / when1 thread

Will it ever be in the store?

Will Review Master come to the Mac App Store?

The day a store app is allowed to run the CLI you already pay for, under your own login, we will be there the following week. Until then, the direct download is not a workaround. It is the product.

The one store with a 0% cut. Ours.
